Several users reported that the GameStop website was broken and leaking personal information about customers, including names, birthdays, addresses, order histories, and credit card numbers, on November 26, 2022. It is yet unknown whether this most recent blip, which was first reported on Reddit, was caused by a bug in the website or a sophisticated hack.

Customers of GameStop said that everytime they logged into their accounts, they could access the private information of other users, causing the user information to change each time they refreshed the page. Customers reportedly found it difficult to delete their private billing information from the GameStop website and app, which caused widespread panic that their credit card information might be compromised.

So, what's actually happening? Well, it might not be as terrible as it seems. According to GameStop Guest Care (an officially verified Twitter support handle for GameStop), the 'leaked' customer information was reportedly test data created by one of GameStop's crew. As a result, it's possible that users' account information was not truly compromised.

User information may become public as a result of a database being breached and having its contents deliberately leaked; a recent example of this was 2K's user data being stolen. gamestop hacked 2023,gamestop account hacked 2023,gamestop account hacked email changed, gamestop hacked 2023,gamestop account email changed, gamestop data leak, gamestop nft support, gamestop 2fa hack.
