A leader in distressed property investment and development with landlord experience, Aaron Marzwell is the CEO of APPA Real Estate in Los Angeles, California. Since founding the company in 2013, he has led a range of mixed-use, multifamily, and student housing projects in Pasadena, Hollywood, and Los Angeles, among other municipalities. The firm's most recent project is the $61 million, 100-unit, mixed-use building The Colorado. Aaron Marzwell oversees all phases of project development and is skilled at property identification and negotiation as well as the restructuring of distressed assets.

Aaron Marzwell previously spent seven years as vice president at CIM Group, where, among other projects, he led teams developing the $67 million Turnberry Towers and $96 million mixed-use development The Strand. Combined, he has completed more than $5 billion in real estate, including more than 1,000 hotel rooms and 2,300 units across 100-plus multifamily properties.

Complementing his landlord and developer experience, Mr. Marzwell holds membership with the Urban Land Institute, Turnaround Management Association, and Institute of Real Estate Management. He earned an MS in real estate development from Columbia University and a BS in political science from the University of California, Los Angeles.
