Abiola Abdulkareem

The recipient of a bachelor of laws and a master of laws in international commercial and financial law from the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom, Abiola Abdulkareem joined J and Q Legal Consultants as a volunteer caseworker in 2007. Abiola Abdulkareem spent nine years at the Oxford, UK-based firm and managed juvenile and Department for Children, Schools, and Families cases. This involved drafting and preparing legal documents and maintaining relationships with schools, community referral sources, and detention centers.


Mr. Abdulkareem subsequently worked one year in a similar role with the Nigerian Association for Truth and Right in Lagos, Nigeria. Here, he managed numerous civil rights violation cases involving people who had been detained for a significant period without the chance to be heard in court. Most notably, he secured the release of hundreds of wrongfully convicted or detained individuals across three prison facilities.
