Aine Ahmed

Assistant United States Attorney

A lawyer who has worked extensively in the military and public sectors, Aine Ahmed completed his undergraduate degree at Wake Forest University, and holds a master of public affairs from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a juris doctor from the West Virginia University School of Law in Morgantown. After securing his law degree, he found employment as an assistant district attorney in Goldsboro, North Carolina. This position gave Aine Ahmed valuable trial experience. He also served as an assistant district attorney in Augusta, Georgia, prosecuting felony and misdemeanor cases in the Richmond County Superior Court and the North Carolina 8th District and Superior Court.

Mr. Ahmed went on to serve tenures as a judge advocate with the US Army, an assistant district counsel with the Department of Justice Immigration and Naturalization Service, and a trial defense counsel with the Army’s 3d Armored Cavalry Regiment. He became an assistant United States attorney (AUSA) in 2002, prosecuting felonies for the Eastern District of Washington. Aine Ahmed has been an AUSA with the Northern District of Florida, working through the Judge Advocate General's Corps, since 2017.
