Passionate about creating equal opportunities for all students, Al Rogers worked with the Sacramento Board of Education to develop an agenda that would dismantle the inequities that disproportionately affected male students of color. Al Rogers worked especially hard during the COVID-19 pandemic to foster equal learning environments, and he helped ensure that every student had access to internet-based learning. Through Al Rogers' dedication, schools in the Merced City School District were able to reopen safely.
