Job Objective:
As a System Maintenance Engineer, my main objective is to ensure smooth operation of basic business functions and monitor the status of all projects on our platform for clients. This involves monitoring and tracking PING, CPU, memory, and disk usage on Windows/Linux platforms, regularly testing games for timeliness, and coordinating with clients to update platforms and game patches.
In addition, I am responsible for monitoring the operating conditions of data centers (Japan/Korea/cloud) and cloud computing, and utilizing monitoring technology (Nagios) to identify the causes of equipment failures, notify colleagues in the data center for repair (scanning hardware for damage or reinstalling the operating system), and providing error codes for identifying hardware damage causes if the Windows blue screen appears.
Main Contributions:
I assisted the department in streamlining daily routine workflows and reduced manual labor using automation tools. Specifically, I used a macro program to automatically test phones on a scheduled basis, reducing manual errors and improving work efficiency. Additionally, I used a web extension to write scripts to automatically start web games on a regular basis, reducing manual labor and improving work efficiency. Finally, I assisted in upgrading the monitoring system (Nagios) from Centos6 to a newer version.
