A Chicago financial services professional, Alex Shobe has more than half a decade of experience in alternative assets, financial services, and financial market data. Since 2021, he has served as an enterprise business development manager with Preqin, where he manages a sales team within the company’s Midwest territory. In addition to developing and maintaining client relationships, he creates monthly management reports and engages in sales pipeline forecasting. In his first year with the company, Alex Shobe achieved 115 percent of his sales quota.
Before joining Preqin, Alex Shobe spent several years as regional sales director with Morningstar Inc. Consistently performing more than 120 percent above target, he closed a $240,000 annual contract during his tenure with the company. He holds a bachelor of business administration in finance with a minor in general business management from Western Michigan University, where he was a member of the Financial Services Club.
When he is not developing new business opportunities with Preqin, Mr. Shobe enjoys attending live music concerts and working with digital media.
