My name is Ashlee Thomas, and I am the co-founder and founding Festival Director of Melbourne WebFest. It is my greatest pleasure to write this recommendation on behalf of Alexander Hipwell. he's an outstanding collaborator and works well under pressure. He's extremely skilled in his craft and comes to the team with a fresh perspective. He's punctual and adaptable in a fast paced environment. I had the pleasure of working with Alex during Melbourne WebFest. In the midst of this major project, we lost our AV Director due to an emergency. I gave Alex a call and without hesitation he stepped into the role, taking full responsibility of gathering all the necessary material to ensure that our festival screenings would be a success. He’s clear in stating what needs to be done and his calm demeanour is the perfect blend in collaboration projects. I confidently state that Alex exemplifies that qualities necessary for success. Alex will be an asset to any company as he is committed to getting the job done at a level of excellence that upholds the reputation of the organization.Ashlee K. Thomas
Alex's work editing 50+ hours of video content for the Music Launch Summit was a game-changer. He took my limited vision and created remarkable looking videos that directly impacted the success of what became a multi 5 figure launch.Steve Palfreyman | Founder, Music Launch Summit
Alex is a very talented and driven video professional. He has a keen eye for detail and is committed to delivering the most polished product possible.Harrison Lawrence | AV Manager & Former Intern, Melbourne WebFest
I volunteered for the Edmund Rice camps as a leader working with boys from harsh backgrounds and/or disabilities. This was incredibly challenging but it helped me grow a lot as a young man in my twenties.
As a member of the WYRC we received marketing, public speaking and management training. We managed and organised events based around youth topics and youth culture.
Volunteering for the Falls Festival in Lorne gave me my first insight into how festivals run and their work culture.
