My name is Alex Ku (Chun-Kai Ku). I possess the ability for innovation, teamwork and communication. That helped me to complete the project and facilitate the analyzing process during the period of master's degree study. My major is Physics, especially the properties of materials and semiconductors. In the past two years, I have been spending time on research of 2D-materials using scanning tunneling microscope (probe technique) and data analysis, which is the reason for the application. I am a mindful person that I'm always doing everything carefully, having comprehensive thought about a matter, and it literally reduces possible crises in my work.
In last two years, I not only spent time on the subjects and experiments, but also improved my personal skills, such as programming (Python) and learning English. I consider them as a way to add value of mine, and they have been my hobbies as well. Besides the expertise, I also like watching TV series, hanging out with friends, going to the beach and tasting delicacies in my spare time. These interests help me to release stresses that I have accumulated during the week.
I had one year experience of directing a team in the Physics student association, which made me learn not only the importance of communication, but also time management.
I like to be creative or apply what I had learned. Therefore, I hope that I could improve all my skills except my major. For example, programming well is the first goal. I also want to speak English as fluently as native speakers, not just to be able to communicate.
