An accomplished financial professional, Anthony Bland brings more than a decade of experience to his position as managing director and market executive for the Fort Lauderdale offices of Merrill Lynch Global Wealth and Investment Management. In this position, Anthony Bland leads a network of more than 140 financial advisors and 70 client associates throughout a market area that includes Latin America and the Caribbean. The team under his direction manages approximately $15 billion in assets for resident and non-resident private and international banking clients. 


Anthony Bland received a bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Connecticut before going on to earn an MBA at the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill. He has also completed postgraduate training in securities at the University of Pennsylvania Wharton School of Business. Prior to joining Merrill Lynch, the financial professional gained experience through sales executive positions in the technology, consulting, and financial services sectors. 


Outside of his professional life, Bland maintains a commitment to the community through his volunteer efforts as a board member for the Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital Foundation. Previously, he served on the board for groups such as Central Florida Research Park, the Charleston Symphony Orchestra, and the University of Central Florida.
