Anthony Cosentino

Teacher and Firefighter Based in Putnam 

Anthony Cosentino is a Putnam, Connecticut-based teacher who has spent the past two decades with Woonsocket High School, where he teaches sociology and social studies. Outside the school, Anthony Cosentino is a volunteer firefighter with the Putnam Fire Department, which he joined in 2009.

With Woonsocket, he has been involved in numerous extra-curricular activities, such as coaching the school's debate team, which he established in 2001. Mr. Cosentino has also helped expand the advance placement curriculum in the school, including adding AP United States history.

Since Anthony Cosentino joined the Putnam Fire Department, he has become accredited in several areas. Alongside being a certified Level I and Level II firefighter, he is hazmat operations certified. He has also been appointed the lieutenant of the department’s hose company.

Outside his career, Mr. Cosentino is a member of the band Truth in Soul. In 2018, it released its first album, which is available on all major streaming platforms.
