Asher Roshanzamir

Asher Roshanzamir is a prominent New York City philanthropist and real estate investor. He is the Founder, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Manhattan-based Zamir Equities, a family-owned real estate acquisition and investment firm. The firm’s recent acquisitions include 587 Fifth Avenue, Penncom Plaza, and several office buildings throughout the United States. Zamir Equities also has ownership interests in several properties overseas. Prior to founding Zamir Equities, a prominent and privately-held New York City-based real estate private equity firm, Mr. Zamir and his brothers established a successful, global manufacturer and distributor of diamonds and fine jewelry, with facilities in Tel Aviv, Israel and Mumbai, India. Mr. Roshanzamir is married for over 40 years and blessed with four married children and several grandchildren.

Asher Roshanzamir founded Zamir Equities in 2003 and is responsible for overseeing the origination and structuring of all of Zamir Equities' investment activities, as well as raising institutional capital and portfolio management. In 1991, Mr. Roshanzamir began including infrastructure and commercial real estate assets in his investing portfolio. Since then, he has worked on transactions involving risk-adjusted market returns in both undervalued and stabilized real estate assets. Currently, Zamir Equities owns and manages cumulative properties in excess of $300 million and 1.5 million square feet. Given his diverse real estate background, Asher's responsibilities range from analyzing new acquisitions and assisting in value creation for those investments to the marketing and disposition of repositioned assets after value creation.
