Since 2018, Bency Alphonse has worked with the Fort-Lauderdale Behavioral Health Center, where he is a per diem therapist. In the position, Bency Alphonse provides a range of services, including detox and rehabilitation counseling.
He also works with children and adolescents, and is responsible for coordinating psychoeducational family sessions. Before this, Mr. Alphonse worked with Camelot Community Care, where he was a therapist and case manager.
Alongside providing therapeutic services to families, he consulted with schools to develop treatment plans for students. Outside of psychotherapy, Bency Alphonse is a level three French interpreter with Language Line Solutions. Through the Los Angeles-based company, he provides French and Haitian translation services to courts and medical facilities.
In this work, he consults primarily on medical cases. A Brooklyn College graduate, Mr. Alphonse earned a bachelor of science in psychology in 2009. He earned his master’s in clinical psychology at Albizu University in 2013. While pursuing his MS, he concentrated on health psychology.
An avid sports fan, he enjoys commenting on his favorite to include soccer, basketball and tennis. He is also a fan of cooking and gardening.
