Brent Wright

Flies Passengers for Mesa Airlines

Brent Wright is an experienced pilot who flies for the Phoenix, Arizona-based Mesa Airlines, a regional operator with hubs in several states. In service with Mesa Airlines since 2014, Brent Wright has logged more than 5,000 hours in the air, most of which as a pilot in command. As a FAA certified Airline Transport Pilot (ATP), he flies the Embraer 175 (E-175) as Captain at his airline.

Earlier in his career, Mr. Wright earned certification from the Federal Aviation Administration as a flight instructor. He formerly served as an instructor in South Florida at Hollywood Flight Training in Hollywood and the now-closed Dean International Flight School in Miami. Additionally, he has performed community-service work at aviation camps run by the Organization of Black Aerospace Professionals.

A graduate of Tennessee State University (TSU), Mr. Wright has a Bachelor of Science in Aeronautical and Industrial Technology and a Master of Public Administration. He also coauthored a research paper on technology integration in community engagement and service learning at TSU.

Beyond his professional endeavors, he enjoys fishing and volunteering with Great American Teach-In at various Central Florida-area schools.
