Food Safety Professional Brett Podoski is an Active Philanthropist 

Brett Podoski is a supervisory consumer safety officer (SCSO) and Food Safety Modernization Act (FSMA) manager with the United States Food and Drug Administration. Working through the Agency's Office of Food Safety, Brett Podoski leads the multi-commodity foods/refrigerated and frozen foods staff and is responsible for providing scientific and technical guidance regarding food safety and preventative controls.

An extensively published professional, Mr. Podoski has been working for the FDA ever since he earned his masters in food science. Since that time, he has traveled around the world to share his regulatory expertise with other countries and organizations, including the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) and the International Association of Food Protection (IAFP).

Mr. Podoski is also a dedicated member of his community and supports several organizations, including the Surfrider Foundation Oahu Chapter, Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, and World Skin Cancer Foundation. He donates to the Little Lighthouse Foundation, a South Florida organization that helps children and families struggling with medical, educational, and financial hardships, and supports the Foundation’s Hearts and Stars Gala. Beyond that, he supports the Slater Brothers Invitational, an event that raises awareness and funding for skin cancer prevention. This event has brought in a number of world-class surfers dedicated to supporting skin cancer prevention; it has also funded numerous programs and free skin cancer screenings.
