Carl Bazan

Clinical Research Associate at Precision for Medicine

Since 2016, Dr. Carl Bazan has served as a clinical research associate in the Bioservices Department of Precision for Medicine. In this role, he concentrates on managing operations at the investigational sites of the Bethesda, Maryland, company. Specifically, his duties include conducting site visits, handling budgetary matters, and consistently maintaining contact with investigators. As a clinical research associate, Dr. Carl Bazan also leverages his language skills and his training in medical translation/interpretation to translate documents for submission to the Western Institutional Review Board. Dr. Bazan undertook the aforementioned training, which also focused on cultural competency, at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s in New York City. Earlier, he studied nonverbal communication at MD Anderson Cancer Center and secured a certificate in patient safety from Harvard Medical School. Before beginning his career in clinical research, he attended the Autonomous University of Guadalajara, where he completed his doctor of medicine in 1997. An engaged member of his field, Dr. Carl Bazan maintains affiliations with the Society of Clinical Research Associates and the Association of Clinical Research Professionals. Dr. Carl Bazan’s professional interests cover topics related to telomere length, the health effects of sugar consumption, and the role of medical devices in diagnosing cancer.
