Carlos Alsua

Distinguished Professor at the University of Arizona

The recipient of an MBA and Ph.D. from the department of management entrepreneurship from Arizona State University, Carlos Alsua is an experienced academic based in Tucson, Arizona. He has taught various business courses as a visiting lecturer at institutions in countries such as Russia, Spain, China, Thailand, Chile, Argentina, Colombia, Peru, and Mexico. In addition, Carlos Alsua has taught at United States schools, including the University of Alaska Anchorage and the University of Arizona.

Carlos Alsua has been affiliated with the University of Arizona's Eller College of Management since 2014. During that time, he served as academic director and is currently serving as director of graduate studies for the McGuire Center for Entrepreneurship. He was appointed professor of practice in international management and global entrepreneurship in July 2021.

A Tucson resident, Mr. Alsua was named Eller Most Valuable Professor of the Year in 2020 and received the Visiting Professor of the Year Award from Tecnológico de Monterrey in 2016. He has served on dozens of school committees and task forces throughout his career. He has authored articles for peer-reviewed journals, including Business Ethics and Leadership and Journal of Business Research.
