An experienced General Counsel with deep roots in Atlanta, GA, Cathy D. Hampton earned her undergraduate degree from Spelman College before graduate studies at the University of the West Indies and then securing her juris doctorate from Harvard Law School. After practicing corporate law and serving as General Counsel and Chief Legal Officer with multiple organizations, she headed her own consulting firm and advised successful national, state and local political campaigns. Cathy D. Hampton subsequently served six years as Atlanta City Attorney where she led an 85-member team of outstanding professionals responsible for Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport, the Atlanta Water Utility, the Atlanta Police and Fire Departments and the Atlanta Film and Entertainment Office. Her corporate engagements with the law firm of Womble Bond Dickinson for the past two years have included a secondment in the Seattle and Montreal offices of Mitsubishi Aviation and transactions in the software, retail, banking and electrical utility spaces.

Over the course of her career, Cathy Hampton earned a number of professional honors, such as General Counsel of the Year from the Atlanta Business Chronicle and Legal Department of the Year from the Fulton County Daily Report. Her exemplary leadership has been recognized by the Federal Communications Commission, Leadership Atlanta, the Atlanta Women's Foundation and the State Bar of Georgia.
