Working Experience

Technical Engineer

Startrii Co., Ltd.        April. 2018 - present

  • Startrii is a system integration provider for commercial vehicle solution, including autonomous and electric bus.
  • Built the drive by wire system on embedded platform for autonomous using a combination of hardware-software co-design techniques.
  • Developed the drive by wire system firmware with C / C++.
  • Developed the autonomous and simulator with open source project - Autoware.
  • Performed circuit board  design including DAC, analog, level shift, IC switch, CAN and SPI communication.
  • Built the develop environment and managed the version control with the Github flow.
  • Cooperated with engineer partners to integrate drive by wire with perception and planning to build autonomous system.
  • Implemented the drive by wire system on the 9m diesel engine bus and demo the autonomous bus in Taichung and Tainan.
  • Maintained and optimized the drive by wire system structure and built the documents.

Hardware Engineer 

BLOCKS Wearables  Feb. 2017 - Feb. 2018

  • BLOCKS is the world's first modular smartwatch. The core and modules are communicated via I2C protocol.
  • Built the 4 layers PCB with BGA design which get the watch be modular.
  • Refined the module PCB, which is the 6 layers PCB (22mm * 14mm).
  • Built the development board for further module developing. 
  • The processing including layout, prepare the BOMs and contact the manufacturer with the schedule of producing. 
  • Worked and communicated with the vendor in Shenzhen and examined the production line in DVT and PVT stage. 
  • Developed hardware testing, including power consumption, module connection, and several circuit issues. 
  • Developed the firmware developing and testing tool.
  • Works closely with and directing engineering activities of development partners in MCU firmware development.

Engineering Intern 

BLOCKS Wearables  Sept. 2016 - Feb. 2017

  • Built the fixture for connecting and testing the PCB of module properly.
  • Built the PCB shield base on Raspberry Pi for module firmware developing and testing.
  • Rapid prototyping skills for hardware developing : CAD, 3d printing, laser cutting, soldering, and PCB design.
