Before switching my career to user experience design, I worked at Paktor and Vpon as a digital marketing manager, striving to promote digital products, acquire new users, and drive revenue.

UX Designer @ Glints

Being responsible for the design of a key internal tool called Content Management System and a online learning platform called Glints ExpertClass, which aims at helping people to start and upgrade their careers.

  • Create user flows, wireframes, and high-fedility mockup for RWD websites and app targeting the Indonesian market
  • Build, maintain, and iterate Design System and UI kits with the other designers 
  • Plan and carry out user research including user interviews, moderated and unmoderated user testing
  • Set up GA, GTM and other third party tracking tool, analyze data, create reports and provide insights to improve the products
  • Conduct QC and provide frontend technical suggestions

Product Designer @ HTC VIVE

I designed a VR software at HTC which is called VIVE Sync. It is a virtual meeting software where participants can hold from small meetings to large conference in different virtual spaces.

  • Improved the usability of VIVE Sync Website where users can schedule a virtual meeting and send invitations
  • Carefully curated user experience in 3D environment by multimodal design
  • Iterated haptic, gesture, and motion design to enhance the immersive experience

Product Designer @ Freelance

I worked as a freelancer for nearly a year, cooperating with multiple companies around the globe and Taipei City Government. 

  • Joined a short-term project held by the Taipei City Government, worked closely with the commissioner of department of technology information to design the governmental app called "台北通 TaipeiPASS"
  • Worked with a B2B company based in Hong Kong to improve the look and feel as well as the usability of their retail sourcing and procurement website.
  • Helped a startup in Silicon Valley to revamp their CX automation platform and improve the user flows as well as the user interface of their clients' order tracking webpages which are custmer-facing 

Nov. 2018 - Oct. 2020
UX Designer @ Taiwan Rakuten

Designing for multiple products including Rakuten Shopping Mall, Point App, and Merchant Marketing Tools, I also worked as a product manager and assisted in front-end development in some of the aforementioned projects. 

  • Collaborated with product managers, engineers, and QAs to build two products from scratch: Rakuten Game Platform and Rakuten Point App
  • Planned and conducted user interviews to identify users' needs and pain points
  • Created user personas, empathy maps, user journey maps, wireframes and user flows to clarify requirements
  • Identified problems via web analytics tools such as GA, SiteCatalyst, CrazyEgg, etc. and reduced product pages' bounce rate by 2.14% and increased product pageviews by 17.3%
  • Arranged UX workshops and led 9 designers to ideate, prioritize, and launch A/B tests every quarter

Marketing Manager @ Paktor Dating App 

Paktor was a leading dating company in South East Asia and Taiwan. I was responsible for digital marketing strategies, planning and executing online campaigns for 4 different dating apps. 

  • Planned and ran Facebook ads and Google ads for 4 different dating apps targeting Taiwan, Hong Kong, USA, Canada, England and Australia, and kept the CPI below 1.5 USD dollar
  • Improved App Store ranking from top 20 to top 10 by optimizing app store keywords and enhancing the product page 
  • Boosted in-app purchases by promoting articles and blogs I wrote via Facebook ads
  • Generated word-of-mouth by creating articles on popular forums and increased organic search by nearly 20%
  • Created EDMs as well as in-app messages and bring back 15% of the dormant users
  • Worked with global team and collaborated on online campaigns to acquire new users
