Chien-Chi Kao

Having focused on System Development (network management system), AI (deep learning and machine learning) and Networking (5G) the past three years. In 2014, I received a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science from National Tsing Hua University and the IBM Ph.D. Fellowship Award (US$12K). I was an exchange student in Technische Universität Berlin and was an Assistant Professor in National Taiwan Ocean University. I am currently working in Chunghwa Telecom, the largest telecommunications company in Taiwan. I have at least 3 papers are cited top 10% in the same or a similar field (with more than 200 citations). • Worked on AI and Networking (programmed in Python with TensorFlow/Keras, Numpy, Pandas, Scikit-Learn, and SQL), and published 3 international papers in 2020:

  1. Led the network traffic prediction project (4-person team) to develop deep neural networks for regression analysis problems using AI models (e.g., DNN, RNN, LSTM, GRU and BLSTM). 
  2. Led the recommendation system project (5-person team) and analyzed user behavior data.
  3. Led the recognition system project (3-person team) and implemented machine learning and deep learning models (e.g., Alexnet, Googlenet and Resnet).
  4. Participated in the Quality of Service Prediction project (6-person team) and published an international conference paper (i.e., IEEE ECICE 2020). 

• Developed a troubleshooting module in the network management system by using fuzzy logic and max-min composition (programmed in Java).

• Developed a TV-rating platform to collect the user behavior data from 2,000,000 set-top boxes (programmed multi-threading in Java).
