Chris Hsu

Leading Investor and Private Equity Advisor: 

A top-ranking graduate of Stanford University’s School of Engineering, Christopher Hsu serves as the CEO and Managing Partner of Kilometre Capital in Hong Kong. With Kilometre, Christopher has leveraged his extensive cross-border expertise to lead some of Asia’s most important buyout, investment, and private equity transactions. 

Over the years, Chris Hsu has lead-managed such landmark transactions as Tsinghua University’s acquisition of a majority stake in Hewlett Packard China and H3C. One of the most important joint ventures in U.S.-China history, the transaction, valued at $4.6 billion, achieved one of the most important precedent CFIUS and national approvals in US-China cross-border history. 

The former CEO and Founder of Abax Capital, a private equity fund and hedge fund with offices in Hong Kong and Asia, Chris Hsu also led Abax’s minority equity partnership with Morgan Stanley Investment Management. 

The Stanford alumnus served as the youngest Managing Director of Citadel Investment Group, where he founded and managed the Asian Special Situations business. 

Christopher Hsu was an early investor in the leading online music service Spotify and SpaceX, Elon Musk’s revolutionary space exploration and space launch business. Christopher ran his first of many 42.2 kilometre marathons at age 11.
