You will be reporting directly to the Director of server structural procurement – focusing on driving procurement excellence for servers, one of the fastest growing segments at Dell Technologies. You’ll have an opportunity to see how the best-in-class supply chain organization operates, and stay close to interactions with key cross-functional leaders and suppliers

Dell EMC servers are made up of thousands of components – each with a different supply chain and cost. Our job is to make sure that Dell EMC has best-in-class cost for all the components so our customers get the best value for the money.

Ideal Candidate Profile

• We prioritize talent over experience, so don’t worry if you don’t have prior procurement experience
• Persistent: You will be asked to solve ambiguous problems with no clear owners in a giant organization. You will run into walls and in circles, but you need to stay determined
• Passionate: True interest in learning about operations and how products are made and delivered – only then, will you truly be persistent in the face of major challenges
• Paranoid: Supply chain is all about identifying and mitigating unknown risks. You need to be thinking ahead of everyone else about the next risk on the horizon
• Previous work experience from jobs with emphasis on problem-solving, story-lining, data analytics, and project management
• Fluent in English reading and writing, Chinese not required

Daily Tasks & Responsibilities

• Project management coordination of strategic initiatives
• Act as a trusted partner to Global Commodity Managers on procurement excellence
• Get hands-on with analyzing the data and understanding the issues
• Drive process change to improve Dell procurement practices
