Technical Solutions Consultant, Android TV Partner Engineering
Job Description

Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 4 years of experience managing partnerships or client relationships.
- Experience in coding with a general purpose programming language (e.g., Java, C/C++, Python).
- Ability to speak and write English and Chinese Mandarin fluently.
Preferred qualifications:
- Android application or platform development experience.
- Experience with TV and video technologies, such as TV/Set-top box software stacks, media services, and content protection.
- Experience working with Android, embedded systems, Linux kernel, device driver APIs, and chipsets.
- Software development experience in the mobile/CE/embedded space utilizing audio, video, graphics, and security technologies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, project management, and stakeholder management skills.
- Demonstrated creative problem-solving approach and analytical skills, combined with a strong sense of ownership, and a proactive can-do attitude.
About the job
The Android TV Partner Engineering team helps SoC, OEM, and PayTV Operator partners develop products that are used everyday by users around the world. Whether debugging low level kernel issues or Android Applications, you will swiftly problem-solve technical issues and show partners how to properly build and launch an Android TV device. We work with teams throughout Google, and maintain relationships with our long-term partners who are making Android TV into a world-changing platform. As a Technical Solutions Consultant in our Android TV Partner Engineering team, you will be the engagement manager taking responsibility for the success of our Android TV partnerships. In this role, you will optimize implementations to increase business, drive new business opportunities, and manage the overall technical aspects to build strong, successful, long-term partnerships. You will be a technical expert with an entrepreneurial drive and passion for client management, and your focus will be to drive the technical partner engagement for our projects across the Android TV ecosystem.
Responsibilities
- Work with SOCs, OEMs, and Operators to scale Android and Google TV device implementations.
- Identify and resolve technical and policy gaps, or issues identified during development and after deployment.
- Build tools to streamline, automate, and/or operationalize internal processes.
- Drive the quality and maintenance of partner implementations. Drive feature requests based on partner needs or gaps identified.
- Support Business Development teams with technical consultation and proof of concepts.
