Job Description

As a Test Specialist at IBM, your analytical and technical skills will directly impact the quality of the software we create. Come work in an agile environment where you will help each iteration reach the next level. Whether the testing is manual, automated, or cognitive, you hold a key role in releasing the best deliverables to IBM’ers and our clients.
Your Role and Responsibilities :
In this role, you will:
  • Execute test case (manual or automated) to ensure software applications function as intended across various banking modules including account opening, transactions, lending, etc.
  • Participate in all testing phases including unit, integration, system, performance, and user acceptance testing.
  • Identify, log, track, and report defects and issues using bug tracking tools.
  • Analyze test results and create detailed problem reports.
  • Collaborate with development teams to ensure issues are prioritized and resolved in a timely manner. Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, test scripts, and other QA documentation.

Requirements

Required Professional and Technical Expertise :
  • 1+ years of experience in software testing specifically in the banking domain.
  • Understanding of testing methodologies and frameworks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Banking industry knowledge required.
  • Hands-on experience with test automation tools like Selenium is a plus.
Preferred Professional and Technical Expertise :
  • Strong knowledge and project experience in core-banking system
  • Experience using a combination of third-party and open source tools to test automation solutions
  • Experience in group/business/project unit level full-end testing solutions
