Group/Division

The ICOS Vision Systems division focuses on the backend of the line semiconductor industry providing fully automated tools to inspect and sort, finished integrated circuit packages. For more than 15 years, ICOS has been a market leader with tray-to-tray and tray-to-tape inspection and sorting tools found in the production facilities of all major chipmakers in the world. Our market-leading technology and superior customer service requires strong talent in optics, machine control, algorithms and applications within our engineering teams. The ICOS division headquarters are in Leuven, Belgium with additional engineering and manufacturing operations in Hong Kong and Shenzhen, China.

Job description

• Within the team your role as an AI support engineer will be to support making models at our customers based on our integrated Deep Learning tool chain. This support includes setting up the toolchain, analyzing the use cases and labeling the data together with the customer.
• You will be supported by deep learning specialists in Belgium to assess the use case and best suitable Machine learning networks to use.
• Having a good understanding of the process and all aspects of deep learning will be needed to support our customers in deploying and maintaining good ML models.
• We are looking for an AI engineer with a minimum of 2 to 3 years’ experience.

Responsibilities

Taking ownership of machine learning projects related to customer problems at the customer sites. Around 75% of your time you will be at customers to setup new use cases, start the labeling procedure and build the first models.

The remainder of the time you will be building models and do experiments for the use cases while support our field engineers and APPS division with the whole process flow of working with deep learning models and ML based algorithm in production environments. Ranging from BKM for labelling, training models, running and deployment a DL models up to monitoring results.

Qualifications

• Minimum an MS degree in engineering, Computer Science, background on Applied research and data science.
• Having 2-3 years of practical experience in the creation and deployment of deep learning models and machine learning algorithm using frameworks like Tensorflow, Keras or others.
• A good understanding of statistics and mathematics.
• Challenged and eager to learn more about the DL/ML and always looking for new evolutions and trends in the AI domain !
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem solving skills.
• Proficient in English.

Minimum Qualifications

Master's Level Degree or work experience of 2 years , Bachelor's Level Degree or work experience of 3 years
