Talented and experienced algo developer to join algorithm development engineering team. In this position he/she will develop multi-disciplinary products in global environment, will troubleshoot and support SW of existing customers in Taiwan.

• Roles and Responsibilities: 
  • Work closely with product developers on SW implementation and integration of new features in multidisciplinary global environment.
  • Hands on development in C++ and C# – at least 25% of time
  • Support existing customers in Taiwan to identify and address their issues.
  • Algorithm expert and consultant for local business unit.
    
    

• Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze large data sets to extract meaningful data-based insights
  • Develop new and optimize existing algorithms for data analysis
  • Using a variety of data analysis methods and tools, build and implement statistical models to test different hypothesis
  • Present complex technical ideas to internal stakeholders and external parties
  • Work across multi-functional teams to drive results

• Desired Skills
  • Knowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (e.g. regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests)
  • Experience with a variety of machine learning techniques (clustering, decision trees, artificial neural networks, etc.) and their real-world applications
  • Experience working with SQL
  • Knowledge of software development principles
  • Experience with distributed data/computing tools

Basic Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in data mining techniques and in building statistical models
• Master’s or PHD in Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field
• Experience using Python to manipulate data and draw insights from large data sets
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• A drive to learn and master new technologies and techniques
