You'll work in Taipei office as part of McKinsey Design to drive client growth by delivering breakthrough physical and digital products, customer user experiences, and design-led innovation. WHAT YOU'LL DO

You will be responsible for delivering high quality human-centered solutions. In this role, your primary focus will be on a great variety of digital business building projects, helping clients to rapidly imagine, build and scale game-changing offerings from the ground up and develop their capabilities to do it again and again. In this role, you will comfortably apply and own research methodologies & conduct user research, often through facilitating interactive workshops and concepts sprints. You will synthesize data and communicate key findings, translating them into design opportunities.You will apply and lead creative problem solving to generate ideas for complex systems that address consumer needs, leveraging your broad palette of design capabilities to communicate & validate experience design concepts effectively. You'll think creatively and strategically, dissecting business problems and using design methodologies to develop innovative outcomes that communicate the product vision. You will own relevant, engaging & intuitive experiences to shape user journey(s) – including sketching, information architecture, wireframes, user flows. You will create visually compelling artefacts leading to developer-ready design solutions, collaborating closely with a cross-functional team & ensuring effective implementation of design specifications.You will also strengthen your client's capabilities through coaching and sharing of design best practices.You'll have a platform to build mentor and mentee relationships and contribute to our community culture at McKinsey Design. You will be fully immersed in the convergence of design, human behaviour, business and technology, and you will be part of a team that is truly transformative in the way it thinks, acts and impacts our clients.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's or master's degree in design, research, psychology related disciplines, MBA graduates
• 5+ years of relevant experience preferably in a client facing setting, following holistic and human-centered approach to design, from ethnographic research to concept and deliverables
• Experience from digital business building / design agencies and/or start-ups
• Experience collaborating and problem-solving with cross-functional teams including a variety of stakeholders across business functions and levels
• Entrepreneurial spirit with the ability to adapt, self-organize and define your own tasks in an ever-changing environment
• Passion for evangelizing design and elevating our design practice both internally and externally
• Professional language communication skills in English and Mandarin, both verbally and in writing
• Willingness to travel to spend time onsite with clients and other teams
• Strong interaction and visual design skills using rapid prototyping tools (Adobe CS, Sketch, Figma, InVision, ProtoPie or Principle)
• Experience with Agile software development process, methodologies and tools (Jira, Confluence, Trello)
