We are looking for a Failure Analyst Quality Engineer to join the team.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate electrical, thermal and mechanical characteristics of integrated circuits, components, sub-components and systems to determine root cause of failure.
• Analyze failure reports and recommend corrective action to prevent reoccurrence of problems.
• Host FA reviews and present the results to internal and external stakeholders
• Define and review failure analysis capabilities required to support advanced process technology and product development are in place.
• Drive the required testing and failure analysis activities with the 3rd party or suppliers.

Required

• BS degree in Materials Science, Electrical or Electronics Engineering, or related field.
• Min. 8-year experience in the sustaining product or fleet management environment as a failure analyst or relevant discipline.
• Extensive experience in manufacturing technologies for PCB, SMT, rework/repair, and system assembly.
• Familiar with all the Failure Analysis lab equipment and tools
• Hands on experience with statistical tools, DOE, 8Ds, Gage R&R and problem-solving methods
• In depth knowledge of consumer electronics components and their workings.
• Ability to analyses large data sets and extract the essence.
• Fluency in English language.
  

Preferred

• Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics is preferred
• Experience in the Server/Cloud/Enterprise HW manufacturing process.
• 10+ year experience in area of Manufacturing & failure analysis for consumer electronics.
• ASQ (American Society for Quality) certification, with special consideration for CQE and Six Sigma.
• Understands server microprocessor architectures, including the operation of related subsystems, interfaces, and components.
• Fluency in Mandarin is a plus.
