You will be responsible for Shopee Taiwan’s payment projects, such as devising business strategies, spearheading initiatives, working with cross-functional (including regional) teams, and tracking progress, to ensure we can fulfill the needs of our customers. As a Payments Project Manager, you will not only be involved in improving the user experience of existing payment channels, looking for levers to drive down cost, but also explore other financial services that Shopee can potentially offer to our customers.
- Developing long-term business strategies
- Look to the distant future to determine ways to further enhance operations efficiencies, including cost reduction and productivity improvement
- Structure ambiguous problems and take action to solve them
- Conducting data analysis
- Analyze project costs, schedules, risk, and other factors using tools such as SQL and Excel, then translate analysis into action plans
- Synthesize clear takeaways from complex information into clear takeaways and recommendations using both qualitative and quantitative methods
- Driving initiatives from end to end
- Observe daily operational activities across functions to identify problems, opportunities, and room for improvement
- Devise project plans, create timeline, and outline the dependencies needed to bring proposed projects to completion
- Support management team
- Create verbal and written reports for the management team to understand whether projects are on track, delayed, or encountered any bottleneck that should be escalated
- Communicate effectively with all audiences, including senior leaders, in a structured manner
- Cross-functional collaboration
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, regional teams, as well as other ops stakeholders on a daily basis to ensure projects are being delivered smoothly without any communication gap
