As AWS enjoys its ongoing rapid expansion, we are making investments in the Infrastructure Supply Chain and Procurement (ISCAP) team to optimize the value chain of technology ecosystem suppliers from whom we acquire good and services to run our cloud solutions. The AWS ISCAP team is responsible for the end-to-end sourcing and supply fulfillment to deploy customer capacity to AWS’s Data Center network.
The AWS ISCAP supply chain management team is is seeking a highly effective candidate to drive operational excellence with key server component vendors in Asia. In this Operations Manager role, the candidate will work closely with the vendors and factory teams to ensure Continuity of Supply (COS), manage vendor performance across key metrics and act as a liaison between supply team and vendor factory teams for critical initiatives such as NPI and transitions. This candidate will also be a key contributor in vendors’ QBR discussions and drive efficiency improvement projects. Driving supply related initiatives and managing vendors’ operations are critical to help enable AWS’s Supply Chain and Procurement team deliver capacity for our customers and achieve cost goals.
Successful candidate must be a self-starter comfortable with ambiguity, with high attention to detail, and have a proven ability to work in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment. Candidates must have strong vendor management experience, program management experience, and be comfortable diving deep into data to drive operations improvement.
The ideal candidate will raise the bar on driving schedules and deep diving into data, actively participates with a strong curiosity to understand the business end-to-end, and has a track record of delivering strong results.
In this role, you will:
· Create and clearly communicate supply schedules, priorities, and status to multiple internal supply teams and external stakeholders.
· Monitor/review weekly production yields and shipment and act as a liaison and sound out early warning.
· Work closely with tier 2 vendors and raise escalations and remove roadblocks and operational friction.
· Be a key contributor of operations performance KPI section in QBRs with critical component vendors.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS · Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain Management, or other related disciplines. · 5+ years of years of relevant work experience in supply chain, procurement, planning, manufacturing, finance or related field · Strong analytics skills with a high degree of proficiency in data mining. · Experience in program managing complex projects and products. · Proficient in spoken and written Mandarin PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS · MBA or Master’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or related field. · Ability to handle multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment. · Excellent oral and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders. · Ability to think big, understand and drive operational initiatives. · Strong leadership skills and ability to assume leadership role with cross-functional peers. · Meets/exceeds Amazon’s leadership principles requirements for this role. · Meets/exceeds Amazon’s functional/technical depth and complexity for this role.
