Firmware Quality Assurance Engineer
Job Description
The position is for a talented and highly motivated FW Quality Assurance Engineer located in Taipei. This position will be responsible for the production quality and improve test coverage.
Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Perform manual verification of firmware test
2. Ensure device quality before release
3. Execute and write test case
4. Provide effective logs and to discuss with developers
5. Idea for more efficiency cases to ensure quality
Requirements
Basic qualifications
- BS in Information Management or Information Engineering
- Prefer candidates with Firmware/Software DQA testing for IP Camera/NVR/Networking products
- Fluent oral and written skills in English and Mandarin and ability to document and present information in comprehensive and clear ways
- Must be familiar with running test plans and writing/adding to test cases
- Must be detail oriented
- Familiar with reviewing logs and discussing with developers
- Working knowledge of image analysis, wifi and network performance
Preferred qualifications
- Ability to execute commands in python, running scripts, etc
- iOS, Android, web applications testing
- Rest API testing – Postman, SoapUI
- Experience in Linus command
- Experience with Tools / frameworks – Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, TestRail
- Coding experience with automated testing frameworks, tools, services, and physical devices
