Software Engineer, Backend Development at Appier focus on designing the most flexible, scalable backend architecture with optimized performance to pave the engineering road of our new products.

Job Description:

1. Develop and operate scalable, reliable and maintainable service-based softwares and related components.
2. Cowork with team members to design system architecture, choose proper technologies and plan development.
3. Responsible for laying the foundation for the platform as well as proposing solutions to ease software development, monitoring of software, etc.
4. Profiling and performance tuning of critical components
5. Deploy system to production and monitor service health

Qualification:
1. BS/BA degree in Computer Science or related field. Or 2+ years experience in related industry without CS degree.
2. Ability to build web services on Linux.
3. Good at any of the listed language: Python / C / C++ / Scala / Go.
4. Good knowledge of Network API Design ( e.g. REST or GraphQL).
5. Good understanding of any SQL/NoSQL database (MySQL / MongoDB / Redis / etc.)
6. Familiar with git.
7. Team player and able to work independently.
8. Proactive, good interpersonal and problem-solving skill.

Nice to have
1. 4+ years of experience in Internet Industry.
2. MS / PhD degree in Computer Science or related field.
3. Good at profiler and debugging tools.
4. High performance network service on Linux.
5. Design and architect large scale distributed system.
6. Design and implement distributed algorithm and data structure.
7. Familiar with HTML and Javascript.
8. Familiar with Nginx / HAProxy.
9. Familiar with operation automation tool (such as Ansible).
10. Familiar with continuous integration / continuous deployment
11. Familiar with monitoring and alert system (Prometheus / Nagios).
12. Familiar with functional programming.
13. Familiar with Amazon Web Service or Google Compute Engine.
