Analysts are responsible for recruiting and tracking founders, seizing investment opportunities and contributing to the AppWorks Ecosystem. This position will offer first-hand experience making VC investments and advising founders.
You will have the opportunity to:
- Track early-stage founders closely as they go through their journeys and build tomorrow’s unicorns
- Research into paradigm shifts and form investment theses
- Source deals and conduct investment due diligence
- Structure deals, participate in investment decision making and closings
- Track the progress of our portfolio founders and their companies and help solve problems
- Earn US$ 51K – 132K annually based on your performance and an additional US$ 12K in child care assistance per 0-6 years old

To excel in this position you will need:
- Genuine passion about founders and their stories, technology and making a big impact
- A good understanding of who you are and where you are going
- High interests in meeting and getting to know
- A fair amount of intellectual curiosity and an ability to think critically
- The ability to both zoom in see the details and zoom out to paint a big picture
- Some experience living/working internationally
- Solid written and verbal English & Mandarin skills
- Proficiency in financial modeling and with spreadsheets
It would also be nice for you to have:
- Have 2+ years of startup experience, either as a founder or a team member
- 1-2 years of work experience in a tech company, or an asset management firm, preferably an investment role at a VC, PE, public equity funds, investment bank, or consultancy firm.
- Are a native crypto user / trader, or a web3 builder
- Love to write essays
- Have build a strong online presence
