As a fast-expanding organisation, Carousell is looking for a People Business Partner for our Taiwan Office. You will also support all the hiring in Taiwan, depending on the business needs.

You will make sure that all the administrative and office operation tasks are handled effectively and on a timely basis. You will also help to facilitate and ensure all internal and external communications.

You Will:

Business Partnering, Recruitment, Employer Branding

• Be the expert for the Taiwan market in terms of understanding the talent landscape, employment laws, rewards, and best HR practices
• Serve as an advisor to the Site Lead and Managers on all people related matters
• Provide timely insights to business leads to support decision making
• Work closely with the hiring managers to handle recruitment for Taiwan. Source candidates using internal database, various internet sites, schools, job fairs, outplacement firms and other methods as needed to fill job orders
• Review resumes and evaluate applicants through the interview process including administering technical tests/other challenges
• Ensure good candidate experience by maintaining close contact with candidates through to their start dates

Employee Engagement, Operation, and Site Support

• Ensure a smooth onboarding process for new employees
• Act as culture ambassador and partner the Site Leads in driving a positive working culture for all employees
• Act as the point of contact for Taiwan employees on all people related matters including providing advice on people policies/processes, payroll, insurance related questions
• Maintains in-depth knowledge of regional legal requirements related to day-to-day management of employees, reducing legal risks and ensuring regulatory compliance. Partners with the legal department as needed/required.
• Drive the local office company-wide activities including but not limited to coordinating Together Thursdays, etc
• Manage employee medical benefits program and office insurance in Taiwan
• Partner with People Ops team to process monthly payroll and ensure accurate labour insurance and pension coverage
• Ensure that our Taiwan office is well-functioning and has a homelike environment; the office has to be fun, clean and conducive
• Coordinating with the landlord on all office related issues and requests
• Help to ensure the local office inventory and supplies are adequate - masks, sanitizers, thermometers, stationeries, etc.
• Any other ad-hoc tasks assigned

• 4-6 years of experience in HR generalist areas
• Able to deliver a good employee experience in Carousell
• Adaptable, resourceful & creativity
• Able to organise and prioritise work effectively with minimal guidance
• Good interpersonal/communication skills, both oral and written
• Diploma or Degree in HR, Business Administration, Management preferred
• Demonstrated competence in recruitment, organizational development, coaching, compensation, and employee relations
• A cheerful, positive and empathic personality
