Homescreen, Search Browsing, Location Filters and Listing Details Page are critical parts of various user journeys in Carousell, and we are building the next generation technology to power our business.

You Will:

• Collaborate and innovate closely with colleagues from various teams and functions (Product, Search Engineering, Seller Experience Engineering, Vertical Engineering) to deliver the optimized, reliable system and experiences across all buyer journeys for tens of millions of users every month.
• Take full ownership of projects from analyzing requirements, design to developing functionalities based on the product requirements, and collaborate with product, clients, and backend engineers closely.
• Participate in code reviews to maintain a high-quality code culture
• Analyze and optimize the performance and reliability of the iOS app by working closely with your iOS teammates

You Have:

• Experience with iOS application development (Swift and Objective-C)
• Ability to write clean, maintainable and performant code making use of appropriate design principles and design patterns
• Experience with any unit/automated testing framework
• Strong Computer Science background with a good understanding of iOS framework and best practices
• Experience in gRPC or RESTful APIs
• 3+ years working experience as iOS engineer

Good to have:

• Good understanding of MVVM or VIPER architecture
• Experience with scripting programming languages such as Python, Shell or Ruby
• Experience with online classifieds marketplace
• Understanding development lifecycle and collaborate with cross-functional and international agile teams
