The Role

At Circle, Finance and Accounting Manager is a hybrid role of Accounting and Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A). This role will interact with vendors and consultants on regular basis. The work environment is fast paced and tech centric with the goal of building up world-class finance and accounting practice. You’ll acquire high-demand skills in cloud software, process automation and AI.

What You'll Do

Accounting standards and transactional accounting:

- Maintain charts of accounts.

- Review accuracy and legitimacy of recorded transactions.

- Oversee receivables and payables process, including transactions for tax purposes.

- Oversee reconciliation of sub-ledgers and other accounts, including cash and credit card.

- Oversee monthly closing process.

- Oversee assistance provided to human resources on employee reimbursement.

Statutory and regulatory reporting:

- Prepare financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.

- Assist external auditors on annual audit.

- Oversee tax filing process, including income, consumption and value-added tax.

Cash management:

- Forecast cash balances and evaluate funding needs.

- Evaluate risks to cash collections and expenditures.

- Analyze and optimize financing of working capital.

Planning, budgeting and forecasting:

- Perform quarterly planning, budgeting and forecasting process and track returns on expenditure.

- Monitor key performance indicators and identify significant trends.

What We're Looking For

2+ years of experience in accrual-based accounting, including 1+ year of experience in a SME or large enterprise

Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field

Advanced understanding of key concepts (e.g. revenue and expense recognition, deferral and accrual adjustments), and key accounts (e.g. receivables, inventory, property, plant & equipment, payables, accrued liabilities)

Advanced reading and writing skills in English, and proficiency in English communication

Experienced user of Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets

Nice to Haves

Experienced user of cloud accounting software (e.g. Quickbooks, Xero)

Prior experience with merchandising business models (e.g. purchasing, inventory, logistics)

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license
