Who We Are Looking For
Compose.ly is on the hunt for a new editor to join our small but kickass team. Ideal candidates will be experienced writers adept at the art of storytelling. You should be able to research, create, and maintain articles, blogs, and white papers for numerous clients spanning a multitude of different industries. You will also be responsible for preparing, rewriting, and editing copy to improve the readability of others’ work. You should be able to read copy or proofs to detect and correct errors in spelling, punctuation, and syntax. Having experience in crafting search engine optimized (SEO) content is a plus. If you don't, no worries, we’ll provide training.
Our ideal candidate has an entrepreneurial mindset, enjoys working as part of a greater team, and has a positive outlook about developing their skill set. Being self-motivated, goal-oriented, and consistently looking for opportunities to create and improve upon existing processes is a must. You should be passionate about your work and take pride in what you produce.
You’ll be working alongside highly organized, articulate communicators who are quick on their feet and are sticklers for details. You will work closely with your teammates to streamline quality control processes to develop the best writing community in the industry. You should be able to collaborate respectfully with your team and demonstrate the ability to work independently in an efficient manner. We encourage smart, not hard (okay, well maybe sometimes hard, too!) work and encourage focusing on solutions, not problems.
