Job Description

✍️ What will I work on?

  • Search engine optimization: Find traffic-driving keywords, create content, build quality backlinks, and experiment with different designs to drive traffic to our website
  • Social media marketing: Research and content creation to raise brand awareness
  • Support projects that are outside of your areas of ownership
  • Work smoothly with the team, respecting their feedback and providing clear communication & documentation of your reasoning, methods, and ideas
  • Collaborate with the creative team for the production of marketing assets such as icons, screenshots, videos, etc

Requirements

What skills are required?

  • 0-2 year of work experience in marketing. Interns are welcome if you are super motivated!
  • Social media expert & frequent user (Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, X, Dcard, etc), can keep up with what’s trending
  • Good documenting skills and communication skills
  • Ability to use basic office tools (spreadsheet, excel, etc) or marketing tools (Canva, video editor, etc)
  • Fast at learning and eager to learn new things
  • Persuasive writing skills
  • Self-motivated, detail-oriented
  • Intermediate-Advanced English ability
  • Intermediate-Advanced Chinese ability

Nice to have

  • Experience in marketing for mobile apps
  • Experience in growing substantial traffic from SEO strategies

Founded in 2013 by The Global Growth Expert, Colin Hodge, Down was acquired by Paktor in 2016 after reaching over 5 million users organically, merged companies with 17Live in 2017, and then reacquired by the founders in 2018.

We now treat Taipei as our headquarters, growing from a team of 2 into 15. Team members often get exposure to multiple aspects of running successful, profitable social apps, while growing their ownership skills for one main area.
