Responsibilities

• Conducts end-to-end testing on applications, to ensure business, technical, functional requirements are met.
• Executes test cases based upon test strategy/plans in an effort to identify defects prior to production. Tests may be manual, automated or both.
• As a member of the project team, ensure standard quality practices / processes are followed.
• As a scrum team member, ensure standard quality practices/processes are followed.
• Be an agile team member who drives a ‘testing mindset’ in their team and value stream, through pairing and promotion of best practices.
• Thoroughly analyzes requirements and comes up with scenarios and plan to implement the testing.
• Implements lessons learnt/best practices and looks to improve quality of the releases.
• Design and build automated test frameworks and test suites. Utilize innovative testing technologies to develop product testing strategy.
• Work closely with customer service team to ensure issues found on production are fixed or will be addressed in the hotfix or next release.

Requirements

• Extensive knowledge across many different types of testing and be proficient in test automation.
• Experience of testing complex systems and business flows (5+ years)
• Experience with Test data identification & creation
• Exposure to test management tools (e.g. JIRA, Quality Centre)

Nice to Have

• Proficient in at least one programming language, and have a good understanding of application architecture, hardware, and infrastructure.
• Experience with testing very large scale, distributed systems
• Familiarity with test tools and continuous integration systems, such as Jenkins
• Automation experience using various tools like QTP, Test Complete, Selenium
• Mobile device based test automation experience
