[Responsibilities]

1. Drive and implement designs with cross-functional teams independently, to make new technology into product.
2. Be responsible for understanding and resolving all reliability concerns for designs.
3. Design experimental systems to verify the feasibility of Eye tracking
4. Design ownership from concept to production, working with suppliers and manufacturers, to ensure end-to-end quality consumer products
5. Work with Electrical Engineering teams to design PCBA and FPCA sub systems, defining form factor, mounting methods, major component placement, connector placement and mounting, RF shielding design, etc.
6. Create, evaluate and prototype proof for new product concepts
7. Troubleshooting of design and production issues

[Basic qualifications]

1. Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Product Design, or related field or equivalent practical experience.
2. 3+ years of work experience with consumer product design.
3. Expertise in developing/integrating electro-mechanical components.
4. Expertise in consumer product architecture and stacking.
5. Self-motivation with a strong desire for learning new things
6. Good root-cause analysis and problem-solving skills
7. Strong sense of responsibility
8. Proficient in 3D CAD tools (PRO-E preferred)



[Preferred Qualifications]

1. Experience with manufacturing processes including Plastic Injection Molding, Soft material injection, Sheet Metal, Extrusion, Die Casting and CNC process
2. Tolerances analysis, design for assembly (DFA), design for manufacturing (DFM), understanding of Statistical Process Controls (SPC), understanding of metrology (basic knowledge of measurement systems)
3. Experience with consumer product design from concept to production
4. Analytic problem solving skills, including knowledge of 8D, Six Sigma, DOE or similar disciplines
5. Proficiency with Design for Cost and Design for Manufacture for consumer products
