We are looking for senior data engineers interested in building a document intelligence service for professional workers with our worldwide RD, PM, and growth teams. The service applies AI to assist professional workers in automating legal document processing. For example, it can automatically review professional documents, such as contracts and financial documents, and make revision suggestions. It also detects sensitive information in digital documents and redacts them automatically.

Responsibilities

• Develop the backend system of the document intelligence service, build the software layer for processing documents
• Implement RESTful and gRPC API interface, for internal products and external partners to access AI-powered intelligence service
• Work with PM and customer-facing product teams with technical expertise

Minimum qualifications

• Strong knowledge in Golang or JAVA 1.8+ and Kotlin
• Five years of experience in backend development
• Familiar with at least one framework in Spring Boot/Struts2 (Spring Boot is better)
• Familiar in build automation tools like Gradle and Maven
• Familiar with API protocol in REST and gRPC.
• Understanding of Multi-thread, coroutine, and Non-blocking I/O handling
• Familiar with NoSQL and SQL databases such as MongoDB and MySQL
• Being able to read and write documentation in English

Preferred qualifications

• Understands or has experience in Kotlin
• Understands containers and Kubernetes
