We are looking for a skilled technical writer to take overall responsibility for English language localization and technical documentation of our platforms. As a senior technical writer at inline, you will work as part of a team that uses a full scrum process to deliver a high quality distributed web system. You will work closely with both our design and our product engineering teams to ensure our platform is natural and native-feeling from both application workflow and language perspectives. You will also have opportunities to learn new B2B services and technologies with engineers at Facebook, Stripe, Google, LINE, Uber etc to help our restaurant clients.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Take overall responsibility for English-language localization across our range of platforms and services
• Design programs to identify and refine trouble areas in our software
• Collaborate with team members to define, design, and ship new features and products
• Generate technical guides and documentation for end-users, platform integrators, and developers
• Co-work with teams across our company, including Sales and Account Management to prioritize work and identify key strategic areas for improvement

Qualifications

Required:

• Perfect, native English
• 3+ years professional experience as a technical writer or QA engineer
• 3+ years professional experience developing a released, end-user-facing web or mobile application
  
• Candidates with primary backgrounds in English teaching will only be considered if they can demonstrate strong technical ability. i.e. Some coding skill.

Nice to have:

• Experience creating technical system diagrams
• Understanding of high-level cloud platform architecture and infrastructure
• Experience in manual software testing
  
• Extensive background in prose-writing, Liberal Arts education, or similar.
  
• Conversational Chinese

Location & Interview process

• Most candidates will go through a screening interview plus one or two rounds of technical interviews.
• Expect an interview challenge which you'll need to complete independently.
• This position is available in our main offices in Taipei only. Remote working is limited to 1 day per week.
