1. Development
• Develop and maintains scalable data pipelines and builds out new API integrations to support continuing increases in data volume and complexity.
• Defines company data assets (data models) and scheduling jobs to populate data models.
• Designs data integrations and data quality framework.
• Refactor and optimize database performance and existing data related systems.
• Identify ways to improve data reliability, efficiency, and quality.
• Review each development to detect and amend coding and typographical errors, as well as bugs.
• Formulate data dictionaries that are congruent with task specifications.

2. Maintenance and Operation
• Implement processes and systems to monitor data quality, ensuring production data is always accurate and available for key stakeholders and business processes that depend on it.
• Write unit/integration tests, contributes to engineering wiki, and documents work.
• Perform data analysis required to troubleshoot data related issues and assist in the resolution of data issues.
• Set up and monitor regular backup and restore testing including software, infrastructure, and data.
• Manage and monitor enterprise digital system and related data layer.
• Upgrade and update databases as required.
• Stay on track of database lifecycle to ensure necessary updates are completed on time.
• Monitor and make sure resource of infrastructure databases resides, including capacity security protection,and network traffic.

3. Communication and Collaboration
• Collaborate with analytics and business teams to improve data models that feed business intelligence tools,increasing data accessibility, and fostering data-driven decision making across the organization.
• Work closely with all business units and engineering teams to develop strategy for long term data platform
architecture.
• Co-work with a team of frontend and backend engineers, project managers, and analysts.
• Meet designers, developers, and project staff for alignment and progress updates.
• Gather and analyse requirements from clients and users.
• Attend and speak at application development conferences and workshops.
• Document code so other developers can understand and contribute to it.

4. Technical advice and knowledge update and upgrade.
• Designs and evaluates open source and vendor tools for data lineage.
• Remain current on technology trends to keep our software as innovative as possible.
• Stay up to date with new trends and advancements in software development
• Learn and test new technologies, frameworks, and languages, and sharing them with team members.

• College or above.
• Proven experience (professional or otherwise) as a System and Data engineer.
• Ability to program in at 1 programming language for data manipulation and system monitoring, such as .Net, Python, T-SQL.
• Deep understanding of core programming principles, including design.
• Critical and analytical thinking skills
• Keen attention to detail and Excellent time management
• Experience working as part of a development team
• Strong communication skills
• Good understand database design, implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance. (MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle, NoSQL, and Cloud Databases)
