At Jiwa Group, we are focusing on building a tech-enabled F&B. As our Senior Frontend Engineer, you’ll be part of the team building for Jiwa’s multiple technology product. Working alongside some of the brightest minds in the industry across product, engineering and data teams, you’ll focus your efforts on designing and implementing products for a massive growing number of outlets.

About the Role:

Roll up your sleeves and climb on board if you’re ready to be our Senior Frontend Engineer. At Jiwa Group, engineering is central to everything we do: bringing our ideas to life and into the lives of both Sajiwa and #temansejiwa.

As our Sr Frontend Engineer, you will handle mainly our Mobile app for consumers and merchants. However, there might me a possibility that you will handle our internal web app system as well. You'll take the wheel in owning major product features and subsystem developments, translate business problems into scalable design and code. 

What You Will Do

• Design, develop, and manage multiple secure and reliable mobile applications that process and manage transactions

• Communicate with Product Manager, Backend Engineer, QA, and Data teams to conduct further improvements

• Adapt and implement the latest technical trends in web applications to support and enhance the product’s quality

• Be responsible for product compatibility across devices • Actively participate in specification planning with Back-end and QA Engineers

What You Will Need

Must-Have / Mandatory

• Bachelor’s or higher degree in Computer Science or related fields.

• Minimum 3-year experience as Frontend Engineer

• At least 2 years of experience in mobile software development

• Over 1 year developing React Native applications for mobile

• Strong logical thinking, programming and algorithmic skills

• Strong business logic - Integrate framework knowledge with business logic

• Debugging React – Identifying problems based on error messages, deep knowledge of syntax and semantics, knowledge of common errors in renders, state management, etc.

• Hooks (useEffect with dependencies, useLayoutEffect, custom hooks) - Using useEffect with dependencies to limit new renders, use useLayoutEffect and create use custom hooks.

• Error Boundaries – Catch unexpected errors and display a fallback UI

• React Context API – Create and use context to pass information to descendants

• Experience with third-party libraries and APIs.

• Experience with Git, SVN, or other version control tools.

• Experience with Javascript and typescript.

• Experience with Frontend CI/CD.

• A self-motivated individual capable of working in a face-paced, dynamic environment.

• Proven experience in writing clean and readable code, creating extensive documentation for existing code, and refactoring previously written code.

• Ability to scope and review user stories and translate them into actionable items

• A supportive and highly collaborative attitude to work with cross functional teams on a daily basis

• A passion for learning new stacks and taking on new challenges

Nice-to-Have

• Unit testing – Creating and running comprehensive unit test on the

React Web or React Native Application

• Experience with automated testing and building.

• Experience with micro-frontend concept and implementation.
