KKStream’s mission is to empower global media broadcasters to transcend their existing business boundaries with powerful cloud, streaming, and AI media technologies. As the Technology Research Center, as TRC, in KKStream, our mission is to lead the direction and drive the progress of core tech in the streaming industry.

In this role, you will work closely with research engineers, research partners, product marketing managers, and higher stakeholders (e.g. Chief Technology Officer, Head of Business Development). You will contribute to KKStream’s development of core technologies in the streaming industry by providing your technology market survey to support, debate, and guide the direction of core tech’s investment. You will also be able to be a TRC Project Manager to promote core techs to associated development teams in KKStream, to bring core techs into our services and products.

Responsibilities:

• Conducting surveys according to core tech teams roadmap to convey the tech market status and ecosystem.
• Sharing technology trends of the streaming industry in clear presentation forms periodically.
• Proposing directions for research engineering teams to align to.
• Organizing research results into referencing technical assets.
• Working with the Product Marketing team to grab other surveys from different aspects of the market.

Requirements:

• Experience with data-driven storytelling to make inferences and conclusions based on research data.
  
• Strong research skills and demonstrable expertise working with research engineers, product marketing managers, and C-level executives.A passion for technology analysis, technology trends, and deep-dive of the ecosystem behind.
• An ability to generate differentiated insights of new technology skills, and working at a company where nearly everyone knows coding.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to visualize and present your works to others.
• Proficiency in English and Mandarin.

Preferred to Have:

• Degree in computer science, electrical engineering, economics, statistics, or a related quantitative field.
• Experience with survey software packages and visualization packages.
• Interest and passion for video streaming, artificial intelligence, or entertainment gaming.
• Foreign language skills proficiency, particularly Japanese.
