Knowtions is looking for a Financial Operations Specialist to make a positive impact on the financial operations of our global organization. Reporting to the Head of Finance and Operations, the successful candidate will oversee and manage financial activities in Taiwan and will be responsible for providing timely support and reports to the head office in Toronto. This role will also act as a business partner to other internal teams within the organization and the successful candidate will have an opportunity to contribute to the business goals.

Responsibilities:

-Assist in the organization's full cycle accounting (month-end and quarter-end closing entries, bank reconciliations, account reconciliations, cash distributions, payments, variance analysis)

-Assist in finance process documentation and flow charts

-Maintenance of the online accounting system

-Assist in financial statement preparation, forecasting and budgeting process

-Develop reporting and analysis to provide insight into business trends

-Perform financial and operational audits and test controls, and identify efficiencies-Implement and execute on administrative, operational and finance related workflows across the organization

-Ad-hoc financial projects and administration

-Bachelor's Degree in Finance or Accounting

-A minimum of 4 years of accounting/finance related experience

-Ability to work independently and under high pressure

-Fluent in English and Mandarin; writing and speaking

-Experience of QuickBooks system is preferred

-Highly proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

-Very strong communication skills – high level of interpersonal skills, verbal and written communication
