Growth Marketing Manager

Job Description

We’re a small company, with a big vision...creating something that really matters.

We’re working on a solution that makes it nearly effortless for anyone to make a real impact when it comes to climate change - across pretty much anything they do online. It’s different from anything else on the market, and the direction that we’re steering towards has us optimistic that we might be onto something really, really special (impact + business case). Our initial version is live at https://melio.group. Our next version is arriving sooner than you might expect :)

We’re looking for a growth marketing manager to help us ensure that our solution reaches the heights we think it’s capable of. Without users, nothing we’re doing matters. Our product is heading in the right direction - and it will include several strong growth mechanisms - but from a user acquisition perspective, we’re just getting started. We need somebody who has experience in growth and user acquisition to help to drive our efforts.

--------

WHAT YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

  • Executing and improving our growth strategy for our customer acquisition funnel. Understanding our vision and objectives, and then taking our current growth strategy, improving it, and making it your own.
  • Driving the relevant channels and tactics for that growth strategy, mostly focused on community engagement, influencer outreach & partnerships, content development, social media management, and more.
  • Experimenting and iterating. We’re going to need to experiment with a lot of different tactics, and so measurement, iteration, and deepening investments will be critical.
  • Creating digital assets and content for our growth tactics. Creating and owning a content calendar. Identifying and using third-party tools for asset development. Engaging with our internal team members (designers, product, development) and external outsourced resources for content creation.
  • Working with our external growth partners (GrowthHackers) to accelerate our progress. You’ll need to own the relationship with these partners, and work with them to measure and optimize over time.

We’re early stage, and so this role looks for a bit of everything: part growth hacker, part community manager, and part marketer. Over time, we’ll have more support in place, and there will be more of an opportunity for either leadership or specialization.

--------

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Smart, passionate people, who are driven to help find solutions to climate change.
  • User acquisition experience, using modern digital growth tactics. Somebody who understands customers, digital engagement, funnel management, and social media tactics.
  • Highly organized, and efficient communicators.
  • Able to move fast, run lean, remain disciplined in both thought and execution, and continuously strive for growth / improvement.
  • Creative and self-motivated when finding solutions to uncertain challenges.
  • Somebody who makes everybody around them better. Somebody who people want to work with.

This position will be an opportunity and a challenge to operate with freedom, to personally grow, and to leverage your own creativity - in a rapidly growing company that’s trying to change the world.

ABOUT US:

We’re a Taipei, Taiwan-based company, with international aspirations on Day 1, and a team to prove it. We’re seed funded, recently launched publicly, and are moving very quickly. Our product has a clear initial target audience, and (we believe) the ability to scale far beyond the growing set of people who currently see climate change as an urgent issue. We use modern practices, and optimize for learning, for moving quickly, and for efficiency. We sometimes use run-on sentences :).

We’re entrepreneurs, technologists, and scientists. We’ve built and sold startups, have run product efforts for unicorns (like Gogoro), and worked on lots of innovative products with innovative people.

We want to work at a great place, on a product that makes a difference. We want you to make us better.

If interested, please email Ken Wall at [email protected] for more information, or check us out at https://melio.group.

  • Experience with social outreach and digital advertising is helpful, but not required.
  • Experience working in a startup is helpful, but not required.
  • Experience working on community-powered solutions is helpful, but not required.
