Role Description

We’re looking for someone who doesn’t just test the bare minimum and isn’t happy with “Good Enough” and understands when to automate and when not! This role is a blend between Development (90%) and Traditional QA (10%) Processes with a strong desire to automate.

Key Responsibilities

• Work with Technical Leadership to define and drive a roadmap to automate API testing of the Prive’s core systems, with a focus on our Data Hub.

• Develop Dashboards/Reports to summarize testing status and gaps in the system.

• Develop/enhance and maintain Test Automation Frameworks for API testing

As a Member of the Engineering Team, you’ll:

• Mentor more Junior Members of the team in writing testable code

• Participate in Code Reviews and Architectural Conversations to bring a testing Perspective.

Requirements

• 5+ years experience automating testing of mission critical APIs using industry standard tools like JUnit, Mockito, Cucumber, JaCoCo, SonarQube, etc.
• Proficient in Java(8+) is a requirement.
• Strong Knowledge of Microservices, Queues (Kafka, Solace, ActiveMQ)

What will be your mission in the first 3 months

You will work with the tech lead to define and roll out a roadmap for API Testing Automation. We’ve got a few test cases already, but this is a chance to show your technical leadership and ownership. You’ll experience everything from Pilot to Production!
