ll JOB SUMMARY ll

• Execute Sourcing strategy driven by Sourcing team located in San Diego.
• Commodity management
• PO’s management: negotiating and purchasing of components and manage the schedule in time to achieve a very quick turn of time to market service. Monitor demand v.s supply weekly to support customer demand by driven planning team.
• Global supply chain management: across department communication/escalation process to deal with E&O timely to reduce TCO
• The position requires the aptitude to work independently with minimal direction.

ll ROLES AND KEY RESOPONSIBILITIES ll

• Support “Qualcomm Sourcing team” by participating to regular conference call with San Diego team. Performs purchasing activities through negotiating and implementing cost effective buying strategies for a variety of commodities. (EE, Passive, RF, Electrical-Mechanical and Mechanical etc.).

• Responsible for the purchasing data entry into Oracle ERP system including requisition generation through purchase order creation.
• Launch RFQ’s and place PO’s for each Prototype Engineering Development Service. Get price and associated T&C’s

• Expedite and chase POs to reach “Need by date” by weekly OOR review process, highlight/escalate storage communication process in 3 way for all customers awareness

• New Vendor Set up and credit check.
• Build, maintain and manage supplier relationships and keep up good communications. Ensure that a professional and consistent communication is taken in relation to all supplier relationships.
• Work across department and global engineering to determine the best deals in supply chain and have to evaluate the many pros and cons of each in terms of price, quality, time to market and other factors.
• QESR PO to support internal engineering small qty samples
• Hot parts tracking and notification (Meca system fill out and sent over hot parts)
• Manage “AP” issues and support Finance Department in these specific tasks like AP past due
• Able to handle “Problem Receipt” though RMA or credit flow to solve the problem shipment

• Analyze market trends and apply this knowledge to make insightful buying decisions, especially in shortage allocation periods. Exercises good judgment and working knowledge of materials and sources of supply for local and/or worldwide sourcing projects and supports worldwide engineering team for sourcing queries.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously with high degree of accuracy.
• Possess understanding of basic accounting and budgeting practices.
• Minimal travel as required to company meetings.

ll MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS ll

• 3-5 years of industrial experience in procurement related activities.

• Associate Degree in Business or technical related discipline. (***MBA+ is preferred***)

ll SKILLS REQUIRED ll

• High proficiency in data handling and good attention to detail
• Sourcing skills, and strong industrial knowledge.
• Proficiency using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Proficiency using ERP system (Oracle or SAP)
• Fluent English.
• Experience in MRP systems such as Oracle (Rapid Response system used)
• Strong negotiation skills and familiar with terms and conditions
• Excellent communication skills with stakeholders, both verbal and written
• Able to thrive in a high-stress and fast-paced environment
